What is a Star?

Star is what we see in the sky...

Stars that twinkle twinkle little star...

How I wonder what they are...

Let us know what a STAR means...

A star is a luminous ball of gas, mostly hydrogen and helium, held together by its own gravity. Nuclear fusion reactions in its core support the star against gravity and produce photons and heat, as well as small amounts of heavier elements.

We think that a star has a star-like shape but in reality, star has a shape of a ball or a simply circle or spheroid.

Star is also defined as; A star is type of astronomical object consisting of a luminous spheroid of plasma held together by its own gravity. The nearest star to Earth is the Sun. Many other stars are visible to the naked eye from Earth during the night, appearing as a multitude of fixed luminous points in the sky due to their immense distance from Earth.
